Paclobutrazol suppresses gibberellin and sterol biosynthesis, hence the rate of cell segmentation. This compound is used on fruit trees to inhibit vegetational emergence and to amend fruit set; on pot-grown ornamentals and flower crops to inhibit growth. It is also helpful to increase stooling on rice. It reduces depositing and increase production. On turf, it retards growth; and on grass seed crops to reduce height and prevent lodging. To be applicable as a soil drench, as a foliar spray, or by body injection. Has some antifungal action against mold and rustings.
Triacontanol is a compound possessing surmounting plant growth boosting attributes. This chemical is a transparent substance used for increasing the dry weight and water consumption of rice plant when scattered on the leaf or implemented in nourishing cultivation. This compound is also applicable to increase the growth of corn, and barley grown in soil. It has been exposed as a component part of tea. Tea wastes from instant tea treating, green tea and black tea have minifying amounts of this compound in that place. This may be attributed to the more eminent evoking temperatures in the case of green tea and black tea. Triacontanol does not seem to have any side effects on plants.
Gibberellic acid is a plant growth regulator, used in a variety of applications, eg.
Indole acetic acid (IAA)
- Helps to increase yields and aid harvesting of hops
- It advances flowering and increase the yield of strawberries.
- This compound induces uniform bolting and increase seed production in lettuce for seed.
- Reduces dormancy and stimulate sprouting in seed potatoes
- It helps to loosen and stretch bunches and increase berry size in grapes
- Control fruit maturity by delaying development of the yellow color in lemons
- Helps to produce uniform seeding growth in rice; to promote elongation of winter celery crop
Indole acetic acid is a growth regulator, it may promote cell division in the growing stage of plant. Hence, it is mainly applied to facilitate mature, step-up output, break quiescence, encourage germination and cultivator. Indole acetic acid is specially applied to make seeds of rice crossbreeding and gives a higher production. It also facilitates the production of brighter-colored, firmer fruit and increases the size of sweet cherries. There is numerous wide use of IAA during the production of fruits and vegetables.
Indole butyric acid (IBA)
Indole-3-butyric acid is used on many cultivates and plants to promote growth and evolution of roots, flowers and fruits, and to increase crop yields. It enhances the growth and development of food crops and ornamentals when applied to soil, cuttings, or leaves. Since it is similar in structure to naturally going on contents and is used in petite amounts. This plant growth regulator places no known risks to humans or the environment. Agriculturists find it more efficient than its natural vis-à-vis because plants cannot break it down as rapidly.
